Numbers 18:29-32 King James Version (KJV)
29 Out of all your gifts ye shall offer every heave offering of the LORD, of all the best thereof, even the hallowed part thereof out of it.
30 Therefore thou shalt say unto them, When ye have heaved the best thereof from it, then it shall be counted unto the Levites as the increase of the threshing floor, and as the increase of the winepress.
31 And ye shall eat it in every place, ye and your households: for it is your reward for your service in the tabernacle of the congregation.
32 And ye shall bear no sin by reason of it, when ye have heaved from it the best of it: neither shall ye pollute the holy things of the children of Israel, lest ye die.
Numbers 18:29-32 New King James Version (NKJV)
29 Of all your gifts you shall offer up every heave offering due to the LORD, from all the best of them, the consecrated part of them.’ 30 Therefore you shall say to them: ‘When you have lifted up the best of it, then the rest shall be accounted to the Levites as the produce of the threshing floor and as the produce of the winepress. 31 You may eat it in any place, you and your households, for it is your reward for your work in the tabernacle of meeting. 32 And you shall bear no sin because of it, when you have lifted up the best of it. But you shall not profane the holy gifts of the children of Israel, lest you die.’”

29 The were told earlier what to offer to the Lord with this offering and how to prepare and cook it for the others in Israel now they are being told they have to do it for themselves as well, no one is beyond the need for the Lord’s forgiveness. They were to give the Lord their best and we to do this as well, thru Him our best can be taken to a level we could never reach on our own.
30 Because they would not hold back from God they were provided what they needed they were provided blessings, just as the people if they gave to the Lord they would have the land grow what they needed, the Levites would have what they needed if they served the Lord. We today are to serve the Lord with our best and He will provide what we need.
31 They were not to work the land but serve in the service of the Lord which at this time was a tent but later would be the temple. The people eat because they worked their land the Levites were not given land but given service to the Lord so the Lord made this way so they could eat.
32 It was very important for them to have sin offering done on their behalf because of their service to the Lord, sin corrupts our service to Him and we need to take it to altar, take it to the Lord before we can effectively serve Him.
