Numbers 22:15-17 King James Version (KJV)
15 And Balak sent yet again princes, more, and more honourable than they.
16 And they came to Balaam, and said to him, Thus saith Balak the son of Zippor, Let nothing, I pray thee, hinder thee from coming unto me:
17 For I will promote thee unto very great honour, and I will do whatsoever thou sayest unto me: come therefore, I pray thee, curse me this people.

Numbers 22:15-17 New King James Version (NKJV)

15 Then Balak again sent princes, more numerous and more honorable than they. 16 And they came to Balaam and said to him, “Thus says Balak the son of Zippor: ‘Please let nothing hinder you from coming to me; 17 for I will certainly honor you greatly, and I will do whatever you say to me. Therefore please come, curse this people for me.’”

These are my thoughts, please share yours.

15 Balak response wasn’t to go away but to send more into what he wanted, sometimes we ourselves make the mistake that when God says no we like him try even harder to get what we are wanting.

16 This maybe a forceful demand based on the number of people bringing the message. Balaam got himself into something he shouldn’t have and now that trouble is catching up to him again.

17 Balak still intended to pay and pay well; this is what motivated Balaam above what was right. God’s people weren’t to be cursed and this was not a good area for anyone to be, against God’s people.
