LEARNING HIS LEAD

He is the Lord thy God, He created all things and by Him all things consist. Brethren, when we allow God to be God in our lives he will hold all things together. However, we are responsible to do our parts as well. Unfortunately many in the body of Christ view the Lord as a genie in a bottle, just someone to command with the words of their own will. Prayer is not us telling God what to do; prayer is about asking God what to do when it comes to his will for our lives. So many times people blame God or others when things do not come together, but in reality the blame lays firmly at their own feet. Why? Because they did not take time in prayer to hear God’s directions!

Brethren, things will not only come together, but they will stay together as we learn to listen to the leading of the Lord. Remember, He is our Lord and Leader; in Him is our recompense of reward. He alone gives the directions; we do not direct him.

(1) I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.
(2) And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. Romans 12:1-2 KJV

God saved us, sanctified us, and filled us with the Holy Spirit; now we should love him enduring all things which occur for our good according to his purposes for our lives. A double mind praises God with the lips while its heart complains; a double tongue proclaims the virtues of God while the heart thrives to the contrary. A double minded person is unstable, unable, and ineffective in accomplishing the purposes of God with any kind of establishment. For a double mind sways back and forth between two dynamics, first the power of God and second the power of man. A double mind has a form of godliness but denies the power of God to be active consistently; thereby giving heed to the flesh and its carnal concepts.

(13) Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.
(14) He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew it unto you. John 16:13-14 KJV

Brethren, we serve an infinitely wise and wondrous God who has given us all things which are necessary for our lives to be complete. If we allow our feelings, our circumstances, or our fears to govern us; we will never know how satisfying it is to serve the Lord in singleness of heart, soul, and spirit. Our God neither sleeps nor slumbers and his promises are not slack concerning us. Let us therefore go to the throne of grace and receive mercy and grace to help in times of need concerning everything; because God is not is short supply. “Open the Eyes of my Heart Lord I want to See You” the song goes. Let us pray for the Holy Spirit of Truth to guide us into all truth today and every day! Selah!

Shalom, Agape, & Amen!
D.R. Ritchie (Servant)
