Truth or Consequences!
I question the biblical knowledge of professing Christian’s who side with the ungodly against those who are exercising godly wisdom based upon doctrinal truths. I question those would slander their brother or sister in support of some apostate who denies that the propitiation of the vicarious sacrifice of Jesus Christ is the only way to heaven. One who would turn on their brother or sister to support an immoral person who stands for everything that is against our Christ is someone whose faith I would question severely! As a Christian and more importantly as an under-shepherd of God I have the biblical right to examine the fruit of anyone professing to be a Christian. If one exemplifies the character, counsel, and chastity of Christ consistently in one’s walk; especially when it comes to biblical principles being debated in a public forum concerning the support of some public figure. One can only surmise that either that person is unlearned or willfully blind or does not have a personal relationship with a Christ which would yield them the discernment and knowledge to understand what is pleasing to God and what is not.
One lauded celebrity was promoting a worthy cause recently but differentiated when it came to the subject of truth. I quote directly from her lips: “What I know for sure is that speaking your truth is the most powerful tool we all have.”
Life is not about speaking “your truth” but about speaking the truth; because truth is not some relative or subjective rhetoric ; one is entitled to their own opinions; but not to their own facts. Unfortunately some in the body of Christ fall into the category of the “Present Truth” philosophy which in effect adds and takes away from the already confirmation of the finished product of God’s word to humanity. When one who lives in fornication and blasphemes Jesus is lauded over Christians who are striving to live a godly life and abstain from the very appearance of evil; it saddens my heart. The love of humanity is the evidence that God dwells in our hearts. God is love and he who hates his brother or sister is not of God for God is love. But love is not agreement with the sinfulness of a sinner and especially a blasphemer. Jesus warned us of the days when many would manifest declaring they’re the Christ or they’re a representative of Christ but they’re deceivers and false prophets; angels or messengers of light; but it is not the light of Christ but in reality the spirit of antichrist. Anti means basically to oppose but also means to substitute in place of something or someone.
When people follow personalities that exalt themselves against the knowledge of God and decree themselves to be a god; isn’t this the spirit of antichrist in action. The bible teaches that people would manifest in the last days that would have the ability to sway people’s minds with great swelling words of persuasion. Even the wicked do good works but their fruit bears that their hearts are far from God. So many are enthralled with Politicians, Celebrities, and Philanthropist, and are in all actuality following them to hell. Seek first the Kingdom of God and his righteousness is not in the scope of many of those in the world who do great works of benevolence or mercy; its more about the exaltation of man than the furtherance of the Kingdom and glory to God our Creator, Savior, and Redeemer.
The biblical admonition to study to show yourself approved unto God as a workman that doesn’t need to suffer shame is greatly dismissed among many today in the body of Christ. Brethren countering the culture of celebrity when it comes to ideology and philosophies of these people who are multi-millionaires that gather together to give each other accolades is most of the time hypocritical political rhetoric that is culturally damaging and should be taken with a grain of salt in one sense; but as it pertains to our Christian faith it should be taken seriously as it is poison to the Christian spirit.
A person who is deemed an apostate or a heretic when admonished and doesn’t receive correction is dealt with in the scriptures!
A man that is a heretic, after the first and second admonition, reject; (Titus 3:10)
Look and understand the biblical solution for apostasy and heresy; it is rejection and ejection from fellowship; why?
Knowing that he who is such, is subverted, and sinneth, being condemned by himself. (Titus 3:11)
A heretic or apostate is divisive, seditious, and factious; these are synonyms which define what the Greek word heretic means; then we see this same person is subverted or defined as perverted or twisted and set in their way! It is almost impossible to restore a totally commented heretic who has willfully strayed from the path of God’s perfect truth. Those who are sighted sometimes fall into the ditch when they try to lead the willfully blind.
Brethren we must never relegate the Bible Truths to just our spiritual experience! We must always view the world through the magnifying glass of scripture in every aspect and parallel of life. We cannot afford to just be spiritual and biblically inclined when we are in the sanctuary. We have the sowing fields of the world around us. We have the answers to society’s failing culture. When we see a false premise being promoted through the veil of a good work; it beseeches us to look past the veil and examine the fruit; for every tree is known by the substance of the fruit it bears. We are in the midst of a counterfeit revolution for the overthrow of true Christianity and if we are not praying and seeking the face of God we could be deceived by an angel of false light preaching another gospel.
