Acts 7:35-36 King James Version (KJV)
35 This Moses whom they refused, saying, Who made thee a ruler and a judge? the same did God send to be a ruler and a deliverer by the hand of the angel which appeared to him in the bush.
36 He brought them out, after that he had shewed wonders and signs in the land of Egypt, and in the Red sea, and in the wilderness forty years.
Acts 7:35-36 New King James Version (NKJV)
35 “This Moses whom they rejected, saying, ‘Who made you a ruler and a judge?’ is the one God sent to be a ruler and a deliverer by the hand of the Angel who appeared to him in the bush. 36 He brought them out, after he had shown wonders and signs in the land of Egypt, and in the Red Sea, and in the wilderness forty years.

35 Moses would have not been accepted fully by the Egyptians because he was not Egyptian but of the slaves and he was not accepted by the Israelites because he did not share in their suffering. Israel did not want to leave with Moses. Egypt rejected the Lord and Moses.
36 These wonders were the plagues on Egypt which showed both Israel and Egypt God’s power and that Israel is His people. Their lack of faith would cause them to die in the wilderness.
