Numbers 19:11-13 King James Version (KJV)
11 He that toucheth the dead body of any man shall be unclean seven days.
12 He shall purify himself with it on the third day, and on the seventh day he shall be clean: but if he purify not himself the third day, then the seventh day he shall not be clean.
13 Whosoever toucheth the dead body of any man that is dead, and purifieth not himself, defileth the tabernacle of the LORD; and that soul shall be cut off from Israel: because the water of separation was not sprinkled upon him, he shall be unclean; his uncleanness is yet upon him.

Numbers 19:11-13 New King James Version (NKJV)

11 ‘He who touches the dead body of anyone shall be unclean seven days.12 He shall purify himself with the water on the third day and on the seventh day; then he will be clean. But if he does not purify himself on the third day and on the seventh day, he will not be clean. 13 Whoever touches the body of anyone who has died, and does not purify himself, defiles the tabernacle of the LORD. That person shall be cut off from Israel. He shall be unclean, because the water of purification was not sprinkled on him; his uncleanness is still on him.

These are my thoughts, please share yours.

11 Dead bodies are unclean we no in today’s time that they carry diseases that can harm us and become deadly to us. This was also in effective for being in a tomb.

12 So this shows how they are made clean by water, water often times help rid certain things from the flesh being physically often times comes with clean with water the seven day would give time to make sure that there was no infection or sickness from the contact with the dead body. Without us being purified by Christ we can not be made clean when the time comes just as those who did not wash were not clean, many today’s time choose to not be clean by rejecting the purification that comes thru Christ.

13 The people who are unclean are not to be in the temple because they defile it and make it unclean by them. We can not come into the presence of the Lord unless we are set apart by the Lord. Just as they were to cut off if we are not right with the Lord by Christ then we will be cut off and face judgment. They were considered unclean because of their disobedience and people are judged because of their disobedience all these people had to do was wash and all people have to do today is allow Christ to wash us with the blood but very few are willing to have that done and face being cut off from God’s presence.
