Acts 8:37-40 King James Version (KJV)
37 And Philip said, If thou believest with all thine heart, thou mayest. And he answered and said, I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.
38 And he commanded the chariot to stand still: and they went down both into the water, both Philip and the eunuch; and he baptized him.
39 And when they were come up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord caught away Philip, that the eunuch saw him no more: and he went on his way rejoicing.
40 But Philip was found at Azotus: and passing through he preached in all the cities, till he came to Caesarea.

Acts 8:37-40New King James Version (NKJV)

17 Then Philip said, “If you believe with all your heart, you may.”
And he answered and said, “I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.”
38 So he commanded the chariot to stand still. And both Philip and the eunuch went down into the water, and he baptized him. 39 Now when they came up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord caught Philip away, so that the eunuch saw him no more; and he went on his way rejoicing. 40 But Philip was found at Azotus. And passing through, he preached in all the cities till he came to Caesarea.

These are my thoughts, please share yours.

37 All we have to do for us to be ready for baptism is believe who Jesus is and what He has done for us, if we don’t then we would be doing it for the wrong reasons any way.

38 Philip Baptized him, Philip was not a pastor anyone who is called by Christ can baptize.

39 So the Spirit takes Philip away similar to Elijah going to heaven but Philip would just be taken where the Spirit wanted him.

40 Philip was just taken away rather then take time to figure out what happened he continues the work of the Lord when things happen in our life that we don’t understand it often times effects our service but we should keep serving no matter what.
