Acts 11:1-3 King James Version (KJV)
11 And the apostles and brethren that were in Judaea heard that the Gentiles had also received the word of God.
2 And when Peter was come up to Jerusalem, they that were of the circumcision contended with him,
3 Saying, Thou wentest in to men uncircumcised, and didst eat with them.

Acts 11:1-3 New King James Version (NKJV)
Peter Defends God’s Grace

11 Now the apostles and brethren who were in Judea heard that the Gentiles had also received the word of God. 2 And when Peter came up to Jerusalem, those of the circumcision contended with him, 3 saying, “You went in to uncircumcised men and ate with them!”

These are my thoughts, please share yours.

1 The news went around that these men came to faith. We should share news with other believers when we see someone come to faith so we can praise God together.

2 Instead of it being a time of celebration it was made into a time of discord. We should not cause problems we people come faith but continue in the love of the Lord and to do His work.

3 This was against Jewish custom and law but Christianity wasn’t meant to stay just Jewish. Peter should have had respect for their culture and law but was doing right by not letting that keep him from being used to reach the gospel out to the Gentiles.
