4 But Peter rehearsed the matter from the beginning, and expounded it by order unto them, saying,
5 I was in the city of Joppa praying: and in a trance I saw a vision, A certain vessel descend, as it had been a great sheet, let down from heaven by four corners; and it came even to me:

4 But Peter explained it to them in order from the beginning, saying: 5 “I was in the city of Joppa praying; and in a trance I saw a vision, an object descending like a great sheet, let down from heaven by four corners; and it came to me.

4 So Peter went back thru what happened with them. Sometimes we need to let others know the things God does and tells us but always to be done to give Him the glory.
5 Peter was praying when this happened to many times God does not speak to us because we aren’t seeking Him thru prayer enough. This trance was given to him by God and was not something he put himself into. We are not to put ourselves into trances. This was the vision he had been given.
