Once Jesus was sitting on the side of a mountain, teaching and healing many people. There were more than 5000 people! They stayed with Jesus all day.
Jesus said to His disciple Philip, "We must feed these people." Philip said, "We don't have enough money to feed so many."
Andrew said, "There is a boy here who has 5 loaves of bread and 2 fish but that is not enough for so many."
But Jesus took the food that the boy shared and blessed it. Then He began to hand it out to the people. Everyone ate and ate.
There was so much food that when they gathered up the leftovers it filled 12 baskets!
When the people saw this miracle they tried to make Jesus their king. They didn't yet know He was the Son of God.
