JUST SAYINGS

(20) I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me. Galatians 2:20 KJV

The test sometimes is our temper. When confronted with life’s situations the temper can flare and bring us to a place we wish we had never arrived. In a flash something is said or done that we will regret the rest of our lives. This is why it is so important to allow the Lord on the inside of us to quench the temper of our humanity and express the temperance of the Spirit. It is impossible to live in this world without being assaulted verbally or attacked for our stand on the Word, or for what is right at a moment in time.

We may feel that an injustice, or impropriety, or the purposeful acts of deprivation of others to ourselves are overwhelming at times, and the hurt of those moments are real and resonating in us. So we act out of hurt with words or actions that are meant to hurt and harm the perpetrators of these hurtful deeds only to find that our actions add insult to our own injuries.

(19) You know this, my dearly-loved brethren. But let every one be quick to hear, slow to speak, and slow to be angry.
(20) For a man's anger does not lead to action which God regards as righteous.
(21) Ridding yourselves, therefore, of all that is vile and of the evil influences which prevail around you, welcome in a humble spirit the Message implanted within you, which is able to save your souls.
(22) But prove yourselves obedient to the Message, and do not be mere hearers of it, imposing a delusion upon yourselves. James 1:19-22

Brethren, keep the faith today allow the Spirit to do His perfect work in you, so that you may be mature in the faith, and lacking nothing pertaining to the application of righteousness. Selah!

Shalom, Agape, & Amen!
D.R. Ritchie
