Ezra 6:1-2 King James Version (KJV)
6 Then Darius the king made a decree, and search was made in the house of the rolls, where the treasures were laid up in Babylon.
2 And there was found at Achmetha, in the palace that is in the province of the Medes, a roll, and therein was a record thus written:

Ezra 6:1-2 New King James Version (NKJV)
The Decree of Darius

6 Then King Darius issued a decree, and a search was made in the archives, where the treasures were stored in Babylon.2 And at Achmetha, in the palace that is in the province of Media, a scroll was found, and in it a record was written thus:

These are my thoughts, please share yours.

1 This was something that was done by kings sometimes the records were keep for this purpose they allowed the king to know what happened but him being Persian this shows that he is interested in how the Babylonians did things. Sometimes we have to check into things but we should always follow the Lord.

2 So the king finds something, we should not search records but search the word and God will then reveal things to us and what He shows us would be far better then what we find on our own.
