TRANSITION NEWS

Brethren, if you’ve been walking in the reality of spiritual life then you’ve experienced many growing pains on the journey to spiritual maturity. Time has proven to be a precious commodity that allows for the recycling of trials which we have failed miserably in previous times. The old adage “practice makes perfect” definitely applies when it comes to our spiritual growth. Expansion is the process of being stretched past previous boundaries. Many Christians are accustomed to their comfort zones and the thought of doing something new has a paralyzing effect which handicaps them concerning growth into new arenas of spirituality. Many today avoid anything that stretched them or bring pain to their lives even in full knowledge of God’s will for their lives. I heard someone say I don’t presume to know the mind of God; yet the bible teaches us that we have the mind of Christ.

(12) But we received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit which is from God, that we might know the things that were freely given to us by God.
(13) Which things also we speak, not in words which man’s wisdom teaches, but which the Holy Spirit teaches, comparing spiritual things with spiritual things.
(14) Now the natural man doesn’t receive the things of God’s Spirit, for they are foolishness to him, and he can’t know them, because they are spiritually discerned.
(15) But he who is spiritual discerns all things, and he himself is judged by no one.
(16) “For who has known the mind of the Lord, that he should instruct him?” But we have Christ’s mind. 1 Corinthians 2:12-16

Brethren without the mind of Christ we cannot discern spiritual principles, we cannot discern the will of God; but we through spiritual rebirth now possess the mind of Christ for those purposes. We now walk by faith and not by sight; we now walk in spiritual knowledge and wisdom predicated by study and experience. One of the key aspects of the fruit of the Spirit is patience and patience comes through trials both spiritual and physical.

(14) The spirit of a man will sustain his infirmity; but a wounded spirit who can bear? Proverbs 18:14

I see this scripture as an example of the how the spirit is able to bring stability to us even when our bodies are in sickness or disease. Yet; one whose spirit is wounded or crushed emotionally is unable to bear the issues of life. However, in the reality of life there will always come incidents that are designed to bring despair, to cause despondency, and allow depression to gain a bitter root in our lives. It is a ploy to divert us from the path that God has set us on; but also par for the course. If we give way to our emotions we will surely suffer a breakdown which is designed to paralyze our progress.

But if we are spiritually fortified and mature enough to understand the devices of our spiritual enemies we will be able to discern it and armor ourselves for the battle. Brethren, transition is a necessary part of our spiritual experience for growing in this grace. We do not wrestle against flesh and blood; and our weapons are not carnal but spiritual for the pulling down of strongholds and spiritual strongmen in our lives; so that we can cast down every imagination that exalts itself against the will of God for our lives. The truth of our being is that we are now spiritual beings with spiritual insight and discernment for the destruction and overthrow of the enemies of God that are aligned to steal, kill, and destroy our lives.

Brethren, keep the faith today by yielding your will to his word. Walk in the faith of God and allow God’s faith to dwell in you. Seek first the Kingdom of God and his righteousness and he promises to lead and guide us into all truth. It is truth to stand in the day of adversity and to overcome it in the Spirit of the Living God. The Lord is a strong tower and the righteous run into it and are safe; remember when we dwell in the secret place of the Most High we shall abide in the shadow of the Almighty. Transition is hard but yields rewards, change is not easy but brings abundance. Selah

Shalom, Agape, & Amen!
