In Sunday School class recently we talked about a man from the New Testament. He had been robbed, beaten and left to die along side a road. Several times men came along and passed him by without stopping to ask if they could help. Finally, (it is unclear to me how long he laid there bleeding on the road) someone stopped to help him. This man did what he could to help the injured man. He even took him to a place where he could stay for rest and recover from his injuries. The man also told the keeper of the place he would pay him to take care of the injured man until he was able to be on his own again.
There are more details about the story if anyone would like to share their thoughts on this page of Pages from the Bible. This could be an interesting topic of discussion. We could compare that day with what happens in our day and time.
Question: Where was the man going (from what place to where?) when he was robbed and beaten?
