Walk Inside the Bible Pages Poems

I feel that God has inspired me to begin a series of poems concerning the Bible. In honor of our forum the poems will be called Walk Inside the Bible Pages and will be numbered as I write them. The poetry will be about events and characters mentioned throughout the Bible.

Walk Inside the Bible Pages (poem one)

Come along with me and walk inside
I‘ll show you God’s word with nothing to hide
Our walk begins with the creation of earth
And everything in it with all of its worth

God created the world as we should believe
The first man and woman called Adam and Eve
He put the sun, the moon, the stars up in the sky
They all look tiny to our uncovered eye

Much words of wisdom found in this great book
Continue your walk and let’s take a look
We find a garden as we begin
Man and woman made perfect from sin

Plenty of food for them to eat
Perfect conditions at their feet
To live forever in this beautiful land
Multiply the earth with the help of God’s hand

He expected them to listen and to obey
But satan lied to Eve in the garden one day
The tree of knowledge of good and bad
Eve listened to evil and this was sad

Then Adam the man ate with his wife
Lost the promise to eternal life
The reason that humans are born in sin
We find forgiveness in the pages within

I seem to be stuck on nothing currently. God will inspire a great poem I just know He will.

God Looked Down

God looked down on earth one day
And realized it was time to begin
To clear and clean the universe
And free mankind from sin

This job no doubt a challenged task
But nothing too hard for God
He knew what he had to do
Where the feet of men had trod

His Son was chosen to walk the earth
To teach those who would obey
Love to all and promises
Of eternal life one day

I give thanks to Jesus
For giving me a choice
I’ll continue to walk with Him
And tell others through my voice

The Bible Teaches

The Bible teaches wondrous things
When we take the time to look
We find the how or why life brings
Behind the pages of God’s book

In the Book one can find
Stories beyond compare
One such story comes to mind
Christ’s birth we all must share

The wisdom found behind each page
Once learned cannot be undone
Powerful messages set the stage
For God’s only begotten Son

Won’t you come and walk with me
Inside this book of love
And find the things I can see
Sent from our God above

Seasons come and seasons go
Today is the season of snow
I prefer a nice warm day
When I can plant seeds and play

Each moment we go in time
Will bring us closer to chime
The season of loving spring
And all the green it will bring

Snow is nice to look and see
But too cold for even me
I will pray for nice warm air
Welcome it to blow my hair

About Psalm 100

Sing to the LORD the entire world
Worship him with all of your heart
Come to him with happy songs
Jehovah God will not depart

Acknowledge the LORD our God
He made us; to him we belong
We are his people forever
As we sing each gospel song

Enter worship with thanksgiving
Give glory, honor and praise
The LORD is good all the time
His love endures throughout our days
