THE RUPTURE OF THE CHURCH

Even though we are a new creation given a new nature, there are residuals of the old man left which is anchored in the nature of the flesh. Obedience is one of those things the old man has a hard time with because the old man is fundamentally sinful and rebellious. The bible clearly teaches this, even a cursory view would glean this much information if one is seriously seeking truth!

It is consistently proven people do not want sound biblical teaching which strengthens their resolve to resist sin in their lives. Church attendance in the U.S.A., proves that people are flocking to the real good feel good churches where they only hear carnal coated massaging messages which do nothing to change their hearts into hearts on fire with the compassion of God for the souls of mankind. There is no challenge and no change in them because they’re told God loves them without impunity, chastisement, or correction.

A church build upon this kind of doctrinal teaching might be a more attended church, but becomes nothing more than a social club to cater to the carnal appetites of lukewarm people who’ve lost their way. Brethren, when it’s okay to do anything you want to lay a hold of the name of Christ, something is seriously wrong. God called us out to be a separated people, not only reflecting his character but also walking in his holiness.

We can perceive; that although the soul is the seat of the mind, will and emotions, it habitats within the construct of human flesh. The flesh is influenced by those things which it encounters, even though the intangible elements of our conscience which includes, intellect, emotions, senses, and even personality are designed within our construct will exist beyond our physical life, they are still influenced by the physical mechanisms of the present life. It was those very senses that Lucifer used in the Eden to lure Eve and then beguile her into partaking of the forbidden fruit. He appealed to her senses and spoke to her intellect and the combinations of these were the chink in her mind he needed to deceive her.

(6) And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.
(7) And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons. Genesis 3:6-7 KJV

The devil and this world will always appeal to our flesh to deceive us, because our minds are set within the construct of a physical brain which has electrical impulses, and different naturally physically produced compound chemicals which produce different reactions to life’s several situations and circumstances. What makes a drug addict a drug addict, the answer lies within the changes within that person’s partaking of a chemically mind altering substance, then a euphoria affect appeals to the brain and the mind embraces it, and when the euphoria dissipates the physical part of the mind craves that experience again. However let us not forget the spiritual aspect of the mind being altered; it opens a gateway for demonic forces to gain a stronghold. When man faltered and sinned by disobeying God’s only ordinance of obedience, man lost his spiritual life and direct communication with God.

We now a fallen humanity is now subject to the physical realm and thus susceptible to sin because every human is being was molded or shaped of iniquity, because they were conceived in the nature of sin. What that means is because Adam sinned, the curse of sin fell on every succeeding generation.

However God provided a way of escape:

In the course of events caused by humans, God is still sitting on the throne. The question; is he sitting on the throne of your heart. He has covenanted with mankind that he will not interfere with their lives unless they ask him into their hearts. Remember when Jesus said a man cannot serve two masters, he will love the one and hate the other. If the world did not have a master other than God then his statement would have no relevance to people.

Remember the phrase “choose this day whom you will serve“. God may be in control, but not the way many proclaim. Remember when the devil beguiled Eve and Adam partook of the forbidden fruit willfully, they inadvertently gave Satan the deed to dominion, so when it comes to dominion, only those who are in covenant with Christ are within the confines of the dominion promises, yet the world is still under the dominion of the devil.

Many do not consider when one is double minded they fall into the category of those who are under the dominion of the devil instead of those whom are under the dominion of the divine. Yet we are still souls within a corruptible body of flesh which is effected by the 2nd law of thermal dynamics, hence deterioration and finally death. If we put off the old man with his carnal mentality sin no longer has dominion over us, but if we stay in a constant mentality of carnality sin seeks to overthrow us because of our vulnerability.

For there comes a day of judgment, there comes a day for all to stand before a Savior or Judge, as the sign says: “Accept the Lamb, or Face the Lion“. Why do we act so sluggish when we know his will, why do walk away, when we know what we’ve got to do. Brethren purge yourselves through the washing of the water of the word.

(26) That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word,
(27) That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish. Ephesians 5:26-27 KJV

Brethren keep the faith today by being preemptive concerning sin, and by realizing the enemy has set his sights upon the righteous to kill, steal, and destroy, but Jesus has given us his Spirit to discern the times and to see with spiritual eyes all the devices of the wicked one. Keep the Faith and the Faith will keep You! Selah

Shalom, Agape, & Amen!
D.R. Ritchie (Servant)
