LOVE WITHOUT DISSIMULATION

The greatest gift you can give me is your love and acceptance! If the occasion arises and I inadvertently offend you the greatest gift you can give me is your forgiveness and freedom to continue in our fellowship. The greatest gifts are never material but transcend ourselves in the expression of loving with a Christ-like love. Motives matter and our deeds are our seeds to the future. Why? God looks upon the heart; for out of the abundance of the heart proceed our words and the works produced by them. When I say I love you I am saying there will come a time that I will prove it by actions that verify that love.

(9) Let love be without dissimulation. Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good.
(10) Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another; Romans 12:9-10

The Holy Spirit expresses how love should be displayed; hence without dissimulation. Dissimulation is the action of camouflage or masking or disguising; hence hypocrisy! To say you love with a hidden heart of deceit is divisive and ultimately does evil in the process. But the unfeigned love of Christ expresses itself fervently not only in word but in deeds. Piety always points to love and admiration even in the worse of men; why? God has given each of us the potential to become Christ-like and to exploit the latent talents of that potential for the advancement and greater being of all. The love of God expressed through us should have a fervency of piety, action, and zeal. A love that has compassion and compels us to look for resolve in conflict; to have a dialogue filled with agape wisdom; and to have answer to everyone who would ask us why we love Christ and love them.

(12) For we commend not ourselves again unto you, but give you occasion to glory on our behalf, that ye may have somewhat to answer them which glory in appearance, and not in heart.
(13) For whether we be beside ourselves, it is to God: or whether we be sober, it is for your cause.
(14) For the love of Christ constraineth us; because we thus judge, that if one died for all, then were all dead:
(15) And that he died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again.
(16) Wherefore henceforth know we no man after the flesh: yea, though we have known Christ after the flesh, yet now henceforth know we him no more.
(17) Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. 2nd Corinthians 5:12-17

The great purpose here is to impress upon us the love and will of Christ; that it should be advanced by every legitimate means; the soberest wisdom and impassioned zeal. Love vindicates zeal in the cause of Christ in the fact we are new creations in with an infused new nature which expresses itself in actions as well as words.

Brethren, let us understand the awesomeness of our relationship to one another and our responsibility to love others without dissimulation. If Christ reigns upon the thrones of our hearts how then can we love in pretense? Walking through our spiritual experience with a mask covering the real thoughts and intents of our hearts is not only deceptive and divisive but also leads to self-deception and ultimately strong delusion. The body of Christ has become ineffective because of dissimulation. When we pray we should pray for God’s word to reveal the true thoughts and intents of our hearts.

(14) For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,
(15) Of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named,
(16) That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man;
(17) That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love,
(18) May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height;
(19) And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.
(20) Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,
(21) Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen. Ephesians 3:14-21

People are praying for a spiritual awakening; but until they’re willing to forsake all un-forgiveness, unrighteousness, and the hatred they harbor; revival will not come. Brethren, we must seek to love without dissimulation; it’s not a request of God it is a demand. Many are clinging to old offenses which they should have forgiven many years ago. Love without dissimulation allows us to love with the fullness of the love of Christ. Love empowers our faith and strengthens our resolve. The above prayer is still as valid today as the day it was scribed for our benefit! Brethren let us now turn to God in purity and sincerity and ask him to examine our hearts so that we may obey his command to love without dissimulation. Selah

Shalom, Agape, & Amen!
D.R. Ritchie (Emissary of El Shaddai)
