Acts 8:26-28 King James Version (KJV)
26 And the angel of the Lord spake unto Philip, saying, Arise, and go toward the south unto the way that goeth down from Jerusalem unto Gaza, which is desert.
27 And he arose and went: and, behold, a man of Ethiopia, an eunuch of great authority under Candace queen of the Ethiopians, who had the charge of all her treasure, and had come to Jerusalem for to worship,
28 Was returning, and sitting in his chariot read Esaias the prophet.

26 Now an angel of the Lord spoke to Philip, saying, “Arise and go toward the south along the road which goes down from Jerusalem to Gaza.” This is desert. 27 So he arose and went. And behold, a man of Ethiopia, a eunuch of great authority under Candace the queen of the Ethiopians, who had charge of all her treasury, and had come to Jerusalem to worship, 28 was returning. And sitting in his chariot, he was reading Isaiah the prophet.

26 There would most likely only one road and it was not an easy road because it went thru the desert, people just didn’t walk down this road to walk, often times the road the Lord leads us down is a struggle and difficult journey.
27 Jerusalem to worship this meant that he may have been Jewish or more important accepted God and didn’t serve any other gods. So this man had much authority in Ethiopia. God brought Philip away from the people to bring him to this one man, sometimes the Lord will lead us in ways we don’t understand.
28 Isaiah often speaks on Jesus, him studying Isaiah shows that he may have been looking for prophecy to be fulfilled. Hoping that it would come to pass, people turn to scripture of the Lord for very many different reasons, we are just to be open to be used by the Lord.
